Description:A sedimentary rock composed of large fragments of older rock that were eroded and transported on the Earth's surface, before being deposited as layers of sand. After burial the sand grains were cemented together to produce sandstone.
Representing:Sediment deposited in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin during the Cretaceous Period, about 115 million years ago.
